This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kinder art makes learning fun and engaging. Empowering students through art can be challenging because there's no moneys, but a few printing techniques can inspire my students to make their own designs and prints. Art expands the imagination and transforms kids to do things that they care about.

My fun loving students are creative souls that are inspired to take risks.

They love to sing, dance, read, and write! These little learners want lots of time to use paint, brushes, crayons and markers. My students are curious about art and making prints. They can create and design with their own drawing and preserve their ideas. They will be masters of plate making and printmaking. Oh, what fun! Empowering students through art is my goal to help them become artist and succeed in school.

My Project

Printmaking is an art form that everyone can enjoy. My students would love to have the supplies that are needed to start printing. I have seen the delighted smiles on their eyes when their prints come to life. My students need several printmaking kits, ink kits, foam plates, linoleum, a book of ideas, print plates and construction paper to make and design art pieces. These prints will represent their views of the world around them. We can make connections to our units of study and expand and transform the way we learn. They will extent the art and write, "How To Books," to teach others the art of printmaking. They can use 5x7 frames to show off their work during a gallery walk. We need markers, liquid chalk, ink pads, brushes, oil pastel, black paper to prepare for our first art show!

My amazing kids would like the opportunity to enjoy art time.

Visual arts is a subject that soon will be the dinosaurs in our classrooms. There are many new standards that kids must master and there are so many more assessments that our students must pass in the 21st century. But we know that art is a subject that must be included everyday. My students need art to learn and to learn they need art. We need your donation to become printmakers.
