This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
We used to have an amazing printer in our room but unfortunately, it just broke. This changed the way we go about our day because we print in color almost every day and now we can’t! Unfortunately, our school does not have a colored printer to be able to use and the convenience of having a colored printer in your room is hard to beat.
The students enjoy looking around the room and seeing their sight word wall in color!
This is one of the things we use in color. I will print out words each week and post them on our wall for the students to use as a resource. The students also love doing what we call “pocket charts” where they can work on their phonics skills. Most of these pocket charts are matching games and the students love to do these, they love the colorful cards and it helps them remember the skills they were working on.
Although we only have 29 days left of school, next year my new students will need a colored printer to be able to let their creativity shine and stay interested in our tasks!
