This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a 3D printer and filament for my 4th-grade classroom. My students are very curious and creative, and I want to give them the chance to bring their ideas to life through 3D printing.

This project connects to the field of industrial and manufacturing, where 3D printing is becoming an important skill.

By learning how to design and print their own projects, students will see how engineers, designers, and manufacturers create and test new products in the real world.

Having a 3D printer will also help my students build important skills for the future. They will practice problem-solving when their designs don’t turn out the first time, teamwork as they share ideas, and creativity as they design something from scratch.

For many of my students, this will be their first time working with technology like this. I know it will inspire them to think about careers in STEM fields and help them see that their ideas matter. With your support, I can give them a tool that makes learning hands-on, exciting, and connected to real careers.
