This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are English language learners. Some are learning English as a new language this year. They try their best to learn and succeed every day. My students are English language learners from different countries. My students enjoy learning new skills. They try their best to learn. They always keep trying to learn the learning task! They are in a high needs school in the Bronx. They try to learn and succeed in second grade, but unfortunately, they lack some of the resources they need.
I am requesting 20 reams of high-quality, multi-purpose white copy paper to create differentiated worksheets for guided reading groups, spelling practice, and math skill builders.
I will also print bilingual family letters and progress reports in both English and Spanish so that every parent can stay involved. In addition, I will produce hands-on graphic organizers and word-picture cards to help emerging readers make connections and build vocabulary. Finally, I’ll design interactive games—like matching cards and board-game style review sheets—that keep students motivated and engaged.
Having a steady supply of copy paper is the lifeline of our instruction. Young learners need to see, touch, and manipulate words and images to truly grasp new concepts. With reliable access to paper, I can personalize each activity, send clear bilingual updates home, and bring abstract ideas to life through hands-on materials.
