Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school holds a unique and diverse population of students in a Spanish-English bilingual program. Students are able to learn and thrive academically, while simultaneously develop biliterate and bicultural skills. More than half of the students in our school come from low-income families, but they are nevertheless motivated to discover and explore! My 5th graders are exceptional students who inspire me every day to give them all that I can!
The students are ready to take on the new school year with flying colors!
My Project
Throughout the school year students will be researching, creating, exploring, typing...wait, how will they exhibit and present published work if it can't be printed? In this day and age, lots of work is completed online and my students need an opportunity to be able to display their hard work in hard copy.
Our 5th grade classroom needs a wireless printer so students can emotionally and physically feel pride in their work.
This printer and extra toner will give my students the opportunity to share their writing pieces within the classroom, the halls of the school, and at home with their families.
