Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We recently received a photo booth which will be used in my class to promote good citizenship, work completion and putting forth effort.
I plan to use the photo booth at the end of the month.
My students will be able to earn money throughout the month by doing a good job in class. I will set up the booth once a month and allow students to buy a photo, or as many as they'd like. I will also use it during our holiday and end of the year festivities. The booth will help my students work on their behavior and math/financial literacy skills as they will have to earn money and learn how to properly spend it.
This year I will be an adviser for our Student Council. The student council will set up school wide events and activities, they can also set up the Photo Booth and use it as motivation for the entire student body. The booth will help student council members in learning to organize events, marketing as they will have to promote the events and scheduling to make sure that all classes can participate.
In order to make these events possible we need an AirPrint Wireless Module. We managed to set up the booth, however, we have not been able to connect the booth to the printer, we now realized that we need this connector to be able to print directly from the photobooth iPad. A photo booth is no fun without having a physical photo. Many students have saved their class money to take photos and have learned how to save it in order to have a photo. We need the adapter to print pictures and give my students the item that they have saved money for and learned about financial literacy with.
