This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an amazing class of wonderful, super active students who love to learn. All of my students are English language learners, as well as Spanish language learners in our dual language classroom. They are bilingual and some are even trilingual!
My students are responsible, respectful and very caring.
Most of them have been together since kindergarten in our school’s dual language program. I want to be able to provide the best classroom environment that’s most conducive to their love of learning through flexible seating. They absolutely appreciate that they have a choice in seating and I know they would be very grateful to have more up to date tables that would be easy to manipulate around the room when necessary.
My Project
When teachers have more efficient access to resources, students ultimately benefit. Students can receive resources or activities that contribute to their learning. Having our own classroom printer would make learning much more seamless and fulfilling. Moving into a classroom where the printer stopped working is sad and it does not make it easy. I want to be able to provide teachable moments as they present themselves, and sometimes it does require better access to resources like a printer. This will definitely go a long way in facilitating our students’ education.
