Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a reliable printer that would print in black and white and color. Parents could get instant feedback on test results in our Accelerated Reader and Math programs. I print colorful achievement certificates for our Lexia Core 5 reading program. My students look forward to receiving their certificate after they pass an average of 40 levels that focus on phonics and comprehension skills. I have many students that work from a computer at home just so they can get their color certificate Monday morning. These color certificates help them celebrate success and hard work, and boost their confidence. I would also use the ink to print remediation lessons for both math and reading.
We need a reliable printer that would create more communication between home and school.
I send home results from quarterly reading and math tests. On these tests are color bars indicating if students are at, above, or below benchmarks set by our district for reading and math.
In addition to printing, this HP inkjet printer can run double-sided copies or print an extra worksheet when needed. To save time, it is convenient to make a few copies in my room as opposed to having to send a student to the office for the copies needed to teach a lesson. I am also requesting a 4-port usb splitter that I can plug into our printer to charge our robots and i-Pads.
