Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in grades 3-5. All come from lower-income households, and 90% are second language learners. AFter being on zoom learning for 15 months they super happy to be back in the classroom with their friends. They are motivated and ready to learn.
My Project
My students love to write stories and create books. I want them to be able to print their books so they can share them with their family members and the community.
The color printer will bring their vivid creations to life!
This will validate their efforts and spark discussions and peer reviews. As they collaborate and take ownership over their learning they will be prepared for the 21st century.
The printer will not validate their learning, creativity and efforts, but will be a tool that creates a collaborative, vibrant classroom environment.
