This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom we work hard to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences for every student. However, we’re limited by a lack of resources—most notably, access to only black and white printers. That may seem like a small issue, but for students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English Language Learners, color can be a game changer. My amazing 3rd graders work hard every day to master grade level skills and foster a love of reading! Many of them English Language Learners and must balance the challenge of mastering grade level skills with learning English! The ability to print material and worksheets in color will be a game changer!

A color printer would allow me to create visually rich materials that support comprehension, reduce confusion, and spark excitement in learning.

Visual supports, color-coded instructions, and bright, engaging graphics help reinforce key concepts and make learning more inclusive and effective for every child.

This project will provide the color printer, ink, and essential accessories needed to make this possible every day. With your support, we can bring color—and greater equity—to our classroom. Thank you for helping us brighten our learning environment in a meaningful way!
