Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach at a title one STEAM school. I am always looking for new ways to show students how art is not only useful but can make a positive impact in their lives and in their community. For this project I am requesting supplies for my students to print positive greeting cards that students can not only take home but that we can send to senior centers in our area.
Help me introduce my students to the art of block printmaking!
Students will use the linoleum to carve their image. The ink will be used to print their image on the blank greeting cards. Then the students will use the gel pens and calligraphy pens to add text and positive messages inside.
This project will give students a chance to create art that will not just be useful but will have a positive impact on our community!
