This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach students from grades K-8. There are over 800 students from diverse backgrounds in this urban school district. If I had access to a color printer, it would help enhance art projects. Using the color printer, I can take photos of students and then print in color so they can be used in art lessons such as collages, paintings, or charcoal.
The color printer can help my students by providing visual aids, enabling students to print their artwork, and enhancing lesson material.
Having a color printer can also help with organizing my classroom with printed labels and visual references for color palettes. Students would also have the ability to print digital art projects, which can be used to create mixed-media artwork. Also, studies have shown that using color in lesson materials can increase attention span, improve learning, and decrease retention.
