Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

For many of my students this is their first school experience. I want to create a stimulating learning environment for them.

I teach four and five year old students who are smart, loving, and funny.

They continue to impress me with their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. They are very inquisitive and thirsty for knowledge. Each one of my 22 is very different and unique. They come to me with different abilities, experiences, and needs. I am looking for ways to capture their attention and keep them engaged with literacy, math, and science activities.

My Project

The Epson EcoTank printer would benefit all the students in my classroom. It would brighten up our room. My students will be able to display their work in color. The students are just learning how to explore and create using technology in my classroom. With a color printer and ink they would be able to print and share their creations. This would enable the students to take pride in what they have created. We currently are unable to communicate or share our progress in the classroom in a cost effective way. The ink for our current printer is very expensive. This limits the amount of printing to only the essential items for our room.

The new Epson EcoTank printer that my class needs will make it possible for us to explore, create, and share our learning experiences in various ways.

With a lower cost printer we will be able to use the limited funds for our classroom to provide other learning materials for the children rather than ink. Please consider funding this color printer for our classroom.
