This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Title I school is located in a diverse low-income community in which children face various challenges on an everyday basis and are at risk for falling behind academically.
My students are creative, hard-working, and enthusiastic learners!
They are always eager to come to my speech therapy room to work on speech sounds, listening, reading, writing, and social skills in a fun and engaging way.
My Project
This multifunctional color printer/scanner/copier with a set of replacement cartridges will be a tremendously helpful resource in my speech room when students return to fully in-person instruction during COVID-19 pandemic this school year. Due to safety restrictions, I often find myself needing multiple copies of materials I use with my students to minimize potential exposure to COVID-19. Our school only has one functional color printer/copier which is often out of order so being able to quickly print, copy, and scan my speech therapy materials in multiple sets right in my speech classroom would be so helpful!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
