it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of energetic scholars. They are eager learners who are ready to take on the challenges of the 21st century. They are young people that simply need the resources to stimulate their creative minds.
With support from hard-working families, my students have to balance their rigorous academic work while navigating through rough transitions and living through a pandemic.
Regardless of the issues they face on a daily basis, they have goals, drive, and most importantly, they are hungry for knowledge. They possess great aspirations for change in their neighborhood, our country, and the world.
My Project
The majority of my students do not have printing access at home. The ones who use the local library often don't have access to quality, color or picture printing. Being that many of their classes are project based, the inability to print student projects in color hinders students' ability to truly demonstrate what they have learned in its full splendor. In our English Language Arts courses, research projects and the artistic components to those student projects cannot shine as they should. Most importantly, having an accessible color printer will allow our students to feel proud of their academic work.
