Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a community with a large population of underprivileged students. They would greatly benefit from hands on activities.
I enjoy watching them light up each time we do activities or labs, many of which are funded by me.
My Project
Students arrive at school from homes where they barely have food to eat and clothes to wear. Asking their parents for a printer so that they can print out their necessary school projects is unthinkable for them. Being able to provide a safe space in my room where they know they will have a place to print out stuff with out the need to ask for it is my goal.
This may also give students an opportunity to finish their work instead of never getting to it due to lack of resources
