This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I have the privilege of teaching seventh graders. They love to socialize. They care about their school environment and community. They enjoy learning, but most of them admit to not having help at home to succeed in their academic lives. A lot of them lack the incentive to do their homework and projects at home because of the resources needed to get the work done.

Math is usually the most challenging subject for them.

They could all benefit from any extra help provided at school. Even though I am a math teacher, I plan on providing support for all major subjects.

My Project

Help me give my students the ability to print and have the tools needed for math success. A printer is a luxury item every classroom needs. I am constantly needing copies for my classes. As my students work on projects, they ask me if I have a printer since they ran out of ink at home, or do not have a printer at all. I would like to provide my classes with a printer so that I can print all materials that they need. They can also print when they need something.

Help me transform my classroom into an interactive experience for all.

This printer will help our students be successful during these hard times. we are doing blended learning and students sometimes want a template or graphic organizer to help them with a math lesson like solving equations and inequalities. The template will help provide them step by step directions and students who do not have a printer at home will benefit from having a place in the classroom to print out a much needed math tool. The extra ink will help us brighten up the classroom and allow us to print in color often.
