Help me give my students copies of a new, modern, redesigned student newspaper.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Faulk's classroom raised $589

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from diverse backgrounds. Many are the first in their families to continue in high school and sometimes struggle to have their voices heard.
They have opinions on everything, with no outlet to express themselves.
The are bright, interested, and enthusiastic.
My Project
Newspapers should have something for everyone. Every student in the school should have a newspaper that allows them to explore different topics, ideas, and opinions.
By providing the cost of printing their first edition, you relieve the pressure from students who are coming into a class with no experience of what it takes to write, photograph, and design a newspaper from the ground up.
Once they become acclimated to being student journalists, they can help work on advertising layouts and other money-making projects to help raise print money for other editions.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
