Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager scholars who love to learn and attend school everyday in their community. They exhibit positive attitudes and lots of enthusiasm to learn each day. The students in my classroom come from diverse backgrounds in a Title I school located in South Central Los Angeles.
My students have risen to the occasion of distance learning during this unprecedented time in the world due to the Coronavirus.
Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners. Many of my students don't have the ability to learn online and depend on at home learning packets.
My Project
I never imagined that I would find myself remotely teaching from home, and that my students would be learning new material through online platforms.
An all-in-one printer/scanner will allow me to provide resources my students need to continue thriving through remote learning.
A color printer and scanner will be a great resource so I can print at home learning packets for my students who do not have access to a device or the internet at home. It will keep us connected during distance learning. When we return to the classroom, this will allow me to use technology on our lessons so students could create projects such as, poems, books, etc.
