Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This project is for children who are full of life and hopeful for the opportunities available to them in the future. These are special needs students as well as children for whom English is not their first language. Their families put everything they can into helping set them up for life, but they are not able to offer their children specialized programs without assistance.

They are bright, curious, and have much to offer, especially when given opportunities to grow their learning along the paths of the future.

My Project

My students don't have access to the latest possibilities in classroom technologies. They are interested in choosing career fields that require background knowledge using cutting edge equipment, and need support to gain basic chances.

Students will become engineers and designers using the 3D printer in completing models for STEAM projects in the classroom.

They will be making models to create a town focused on green technologies to save a mountain lake. They will also create their own racecars to explore Newton's Laws of Motion. These students will also be given the chance to discover solutions to some of their own pressing problems as they research and develop possible ways to succeed.
