This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am the Librarian at the Franklin Learning Center a high school located in North Philadelphia, PA. Our future leaders come from all over the city to be a part of our Title I program.

We have high expectations for our scholars, be it our English as a Second Language (ESL) students, our theatrical students, our athletes or our traditional scholars.

No one knows more than me that for a student to reach their full potential they need resources beyond what our urban school system is able to provide.

As our school recovers form being one of the schools that had an asbestos scare, we need to get back on track and try to focus on our future. I am asking for your assistance in eliminating one barrier to success. Please aid in our future leaders by acquiring printers with the ability to copy and scan for the Apple computers in our library reference area. These vital tools will aide in our students' ability to print school assignments and information on colleges, as well as scan attachments to their scholarship applications.

My Project

The Laser Printers will help make a difference in our scholars ability to reach their full potential and complete assignments for academic and college access.

It will assist in eliminating one barrier to success by acquiring printers with the ability to copy and scan for the Apple Computers in our library reference area.

These are vital tools that will aide in our students success in assignments and information on colleges, as well as scan attachments to their scholarship applications.
