Help me give my students classroom a printer and a scanner so that they can have access to engaging blended learning activities. With access to a scanner, students will be able to be sent relevant and timely documents.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently work with high schoolers of all ages in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we are pushing to work with a more model-based curriculum for our science classes. Some of the topics that I find most challenging for my students are microscopic or otherwise unobservable phenomenon--I hope to make it more tangible and interactive.
My students come from various backgrounds and are working together in focused group work within the the biology and human biology courses that I teach.
This allows them to work on development of their social and emotional learning needs while exploring science content. They rely on the conversation and questioning brought up by their peers.
My Project
These materials will help to encourage and increase students' engagement with the material through distance learning while also providing a more equitable environment for all learners. During the switch to virtual learning, there are some students who do not have access to campus to pick up materials that will help them to move through this course. Additionally, for some students with learning differences, having physical assignments can lead to increased completion of work while decreasing the barrier to entry with the continued strain of virtual work.
By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase student and family access to material by helping to provide resources in multiple modalities for all students.
The use of these materials will allow me to scan documents and notes to students while also helping to print work to deliver to local students who do not have the ability to make it to campus.
