This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very active and hard-working from the moment they walk into the classrooms until it is time to go home. Their enthusiasm for learning is apparent when walking down the halls. Our students come from various backgrounds, mostly low-income. Teaching children from across the globe who speak little to no English is a challenge, but the one thing we all have in common is that we're excited about learning.
I have 23 beautiful children in first grade who come from different parts of the United States, Central, and South America.
Our printer is almost out of ink. We use our printer daily. We need to have a printer with colored ink in our classroom. I use the printer to publish print visuals for our ESL users. I also use colored ink to create curricular worksheets for concepts that I am currently teaching in my class. My project will provide ink for in-class printing. My students will be able to take a break from their devices and write on paper again. The printer will allow for on-the-spot differentiation and lesson extensions. This ink will allow lesson flexibility! Printer ink is also needed to create differentiated, engaging, and fun tasks for students to complete.
Having ink will allow me to print out any tasks needed, as well as instructional resources.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
