Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher, who teaches in a public school, where my students predominantly come from non-English speaking homes, printer ink is essential. I need printer ink to be able to print out calendars and notes, in both English and Spanish. This means I am often using twice the amount of ink that I would use with a one language classroom. I love being able to provide materials in both languages to my parents, and it goes a long way towards a positive teacher/parent relationship.
My students also need printer ink because I use printer ink to create resources for them consistently.
There are also some concepts, which are better presented in color than in black and white. There are many times I will print in black and white, and then color in what needs to be in color. However, there are times I don't have the time to do that. Being able to print things in color helps me to save time, and still give my students quality resources.
Printer ink is an essential for the public school teacher these days, and not always easy to acquire. Having your help in this will help my students, and it will help me to be a better teacher for them. Thank you so much for helping us in this way!
