I am the proud teacher of 20 lovely third and fourth graders this year.
Although considered a low income school, the students I teach are high achievers. They are involved in a dual language program in which all of their subjects are taught in both English and Spanish. My students work very hard, with most making the honor roll every quarter.
While I work very hard to engage my students in challenging and enriching instruction, I sometimes find it very difficult to do so without the necessary tools. For example, many times students produce great work on the computer but can't print it because the printer doesn't have any ink. My students sometimes can't receive materials or resources that they need for instruction because I am unable to print out parent newsletters, homework sheets, or other teacher-made documents. All of these distractions make my job very frustrating and take away from my students' learning experiences.
The ink cartridges that we are in need of are the HP 95/98 black, tricolor cartridges. Having a supply of ink cartridges in the classroom would make life so much easier (I am requesting ten ink cartridges). To be able to offer my students the opportunity to see their work in print would be absolutely great.
I look forward to being able to produce professional looking documents for my students and seeing the looks on their faces when they print our their very own assignments.
My students need to know that their hard work is not in vain. Teachers have so many things to worry about; however, supplying ink shouldn't be one of them. Thank you for considering my proposal.
