Help me give my students an opportunity to print their research projects and written pieces. We would also love to display photographs of students while working on collaborative assignments.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in an area where most students come from low-income homes. We are a Title I school, meaning our students are labeled as economically disadvantaged. They are a group who enjoys interactive learning and they are extremely active.
This group of students has a love for learning and they are soaked into activities that challenge them and present new things.
They are eager to begin new learning adventures. Their daily motivation and enthusiasm drives learning in the classroom.
My Project
Students have to engage in the writing process weekly. At the end of a unit students submit a final draft of a published writing piece. Students often incorporate images. It would be wonderful to have work displayed with vivid colorful images. Students also enjoy printing out their power point presentations and we often need to print out resources for their expository pieces. Having ink for our classroom printer would facilitate the research process. Students work on a variety of collaborative projects and we attempt to gather the sequential process with photographs. The ink would also allow us to print photos to demonstrate the process of their work.
