This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is a Title I school in Massachusetts. Our students don't always get the same opportunities as their peers in the suburbs, and the staff at our school strives to increase opportunities for all of our children. Our children work hard and play hard.
There is no printer in the building for teachers to use.
I would love a printer for my classroom so that I can be prepared every day for class. This will allow for supplemental curriculum to . support our learning to be produced with more efficiency.
This will also allow for student work to be printed and proudly displayed. Thank you for the support.
My Project
I would love to print out materials at school to support our learning. I have requested a Brother printer from BestBuy to help with that. A printer in my classroom would make my planning more efficient and support the students in making sure things are tailored to their needs. This means during planning periods I am unable to print out homework, student work, resources from curriculum websites or other materials to support the students learning.
Our school does not have a community printer.
This means during planning periods I am going into other teachers classrooms and hoping that I am not disturbing their students learning. Or that they have ink, or that are not using their printer themselves. Teacher planning time is brief. I would love to be able to make more time for my students than tracking down a printer.
