This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I currently work with students in a poverty-stricken area in Memphis. My students are eager to learn to improve the outlook of their futures. They are hardworking and are willing to do whatever it takes academically to make themselves and their peers successful.
I believe that the best way to learn is to be engaged in math, reading, and writing every day.
With that said, I am learning more about these students every day, making me want to help them have the very best academic experience possible.
My Project
My students need a printer to be able to print their interactive reading projects. My students are creating informative writing PowerPoint presentations.
My students would love to be able to print their presentations to post in the hall and classroom.
My students would also like to be able to print other reading and writing projects we will work on throughout the school year. It is always neat to be able to see a hard copy of the students' creative projects. Students enjoy being able to take home a copy as well to share with their parents. A classroom printer would really help to bring their work to life.
