Printer for Projects

My Students

Our school is a public school in an urban and low-income community in Chicago.

Our amazing school has students from more than 60 countries.

Some have been here for a while; others just came to the States a few months ago. With this comes the challenge of providing reading material for students of all levels. With distractions all around us, we know how important sitting and focusing on a text is and how difficult that can be.

My students are excited and eager to learn. They find excitement in all our projects. They want to do more and actually ask to do more. So far this year, we have developed a wonderful rapport which makes working with that more special.

My Project

Our students are often required to complete reports for our class. Unfortunately, most of our students do not have access to technology in their homes. They often complete projects in school or at their local library.

As we begin diving more into writing skills, the printer will help us print final drafts to display on the bulletin board and on our "Wonderful Wall" in class.

It will be a motivational tool for them to share their work and helpful in producing instructional resources, such as leveled texts that can be printed out to use with various guided reading groups. Thank you!
