Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are young learners and need many visual supports to access our curriculum and understand our schedule, routines and rules.
Our school is able to print materials in black, but for young learners they are more engaged with materials that are in color.
We use visuals for routines, and to help with curriculum vocabulary. We also use visuals to help students make choices and to participate during story re-tell activities. In preschool it is important that students are able to understand the concepts we are discussing and my students thrive off the use of pictures and visuals.
We are asking for our own color printer to have in class, and for some ink to use after the provided ink runs out. This will allow us to print colored materials, in a timely manner.
