Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Fearless and determined, the two words that come to mind when describing my students. This group of 6th graders is relentless in their academics, even as they embark on this journey of distance learning. My students thoroughly enjoy the rigorous activities and assignments that are presented through the online format.

Their relentless attitude encourages one another as they fearlessly enter a new way of learning; they deserve the best online platform.

This group of students never stops asking thought-provoking questions and getting the most out of their learning as possible.

My Project

This has been a challenging year for teachers and students to continue learning during a pandemic. It has been promoted that we stick to teaching the basics, (math, reading, writing), during this distance learning time, which has made teaching social studies difficult. I would love to provide my students with an online subscription to Social Studies Weekly to give them a resource that will help bring Social Studies to life that they can use independently while learning from home.

Social Studies weekly makes learning about the content fun and engaging for students.

My students are learning online 5 days a week and have always enjoyed Studies Weekly in 4th and 5th grade, so this is something that they can use at school or at home. It will be perfect for my in class students and my virtual students to all use and stay engaged with their learning.
