This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have been providing my students with tangible materials such as adaptable work binders, work pages, task boxes, and file folder games to use for at-home learning. We, as a classroom, continue to learn and adapt to new situations which we will have to apply during this school year. With that being said I will need to continue to provide my students with ongoing tangible materials to continue to be safe yet still learn and have fun.
In order to provide a safe and effective way of teaching, my students need more tangible items for in-school and at-home learning.
My students with special needs require a significant amount of visual supports to learn in and outside the classroom. With distance learning I learned that my students need additional materials to have at home to practice and connect the content covered in class. Most if not all of my families do not have access to a printer nor the resources. We are in great need of an Epson Eco Tank printer to keep up with the demand for printing visual aids, worksheets, and other materials for my students need to be able to learn effectively. Without the access to much-needed support, such as visual aids and printed material, my students cannot learn the information presented in class. With access to a quality printer, I will be able to provide my families with the tools they need to learn effectively. The printer will also help create personal task boxes, adaptive work binders, and visual supports that can be taken home.
