Kindergarten begins a child's journey of reading. In kindergarten, the students learn letters, sounds, sight words, and even decodable words. Most books purchased at local bookstores are too advanced for beginning kinders, but I have decodable readers for them that are wonderful- the only drawback is that they have to be printed.
Unfortunately, due to all of the printing that we do, our ability to print books is somewhat limited due to lack of paper.
Having an adequate supply of paper would be very beneficial to my students as I would be able to print enough books for them to create a beginners library for themselves.
