Many of my students come to school without having had a full breakfast, and by mid-morning, their focus and energy would start to wane. With your generous donation, we now have a daily snack station stocked with healthy options like granola bars, crackers, and fruit cups. The first day I introduced the snack cart, there were wide eyes and grateful smiles. One student whispered, \"We get snacks...every day?\" It was a small gesture that made them feel cared for and supported. I've put them into independent centers several times. They have asked for monkeys a few times if they were not in the baskets. \r\nI've also been able to use them as an early finisher basket. I allow the students to get something when they are done with all of their work. There are many times that the monkeys are the first baskets to get grabbed by the kids. \r\nWe are really enjoying the different manipulatives for learning numbers and then putting numbers in order. The kids are also able to learn their letters, matching the uppercase and lowercase letters and then are able to put the letters in ABC order.
