This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Learning to write your name, printing the alphabet, scribing numbers, writing words and sentences. These are all vital parts of kindergarten curriculum. Help me make it engaging and successful for my young charges.

My students are four and five years old.

For many kindergarten is their first jump into the learning pool. They attend a public school in the the San Fernando Valley. Most of my students are part of lower, social-economic households. They come to school to learn all that they must, while waging a battle to learn English at the same time.

My Project

Markers and white boards are new and exciting to my young learners. They seem to forget that they're printing their name or alphabet letters over and over again if they're using a bright, new marker. Top to bottom, left to right are words they sing while writing their name or copying the alphabet. Help me to make their song more lively and productive.

These young children come to school not knowing all that they must accomplish.

They are ready for knowledge and new experiences. With your help I can make these experiences meaningful, productive and fun. Kindergarten is LOTS of work. Help me make it a little bit fun too!
