Print With Purpose: Enhancing Student Projects Through Reliable Color Printing

My Project

I love that my students are hands-on learners with hearts full of determination. Many come from challenging backgrounds, yet they arrive in my welding classroom every day ready to learn, build, and grow. They take pride in creating something real that requires skill, focus, and commitment. Watching them transform raw material into functional, beautiful projects is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

What makes them truly special is their resilience.

They work hard, ask great questions, and support each other like a team. They’re not just learning to weld—they’re learning responsibility, discipline, and confidence from mastering a craft.

The Brother MFC-J4335DW multifunction printer and ink cartridges will give them the ability to take their learning to the next level. With this resource, students will print professional-quality resumes and certifications for job interviews and career portfolios, create and display safety posters that they design themselves, reinforcing real-world safety skills in a visual and memorable way, print blueprints, diagrams, and welding plans that support the planning stages of their projects, and scan and copy documents, allowing for digital portfolios and better organization of student work. These tools will not only support academic learning—they will help prepare my students for life after graduation.

The goal for this project is to empower students to present their work professionally, support visual learning through hands-on materials, enhance student-created project displays, and improve classroom efficiency and organization. By using real-world tools to produce professional documents, students will build habits that mirror workplace expectations, increasing confidence and readiness for employment.
