Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is to help bring life to my printed materials and the amazing stories that my students create. Basic copies are often dull with pictures that are difficult to interpret. I want to provide my students with colorful pictures and illustrations that allow their imaginations to continue to grow. Using this color printer, I will even be able to enhance my publishing unit and allow students to create digital art for the covers of their books!

The goal of this project is to ultimately increase reading and writing proficiency and a mere 15% of students are proficient in both subjects.

I believe this is going to pique their interest and allow students to see the world in color! Their daily activities will often include photo copied stories and packets and I want to be able to provide those learning materials in any way that might engage them. I want to cultivate a love of learning inside of my students' hearts and that starts with giving them access to materials that make them want to learn.

I want to inspire my students to push themselves to become more engaged learners. That has to begin with how we present information to them. This project will enable me to brighten things up! Thank you for your consideration.
