I teach high school English to students who are part of our school's Teacher Academy. Our school is a high poverty urban high school that serves over 2,000 students, many of whom are college bound and will be the first in their families to attend.
My students are future teachers of America who are constantly working on computer-generated projects. Recent assignments include college research reports and learning how to write a resume. Very few of my students have access to a printer at home, and when they do, they often cannot afford the paper and ink.
An HP laser printer will help my students tremendously! With a printer in our classroom, my students will be able to print all of their assignments without having to worry about finding a printer on their own. Knowing they have their own printer to use in our classroom will give them the confidence they need in seeing their work printed on paper.
With your help, my students will have full-time access to a printer to print all the assignments that they spend so much time working on. Many students will use the printer to print essays, resumes, and college applications. Having a printer in our classroom will bring my students one step closer in preparing for college.
