Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will help make my classroom a print rich environment for my students. Many of these books are about cultures that are similar to and different from my students. This representation is so important for their development and teaches them about people and traditions that are different from their own experiences.
I teach autistic support so many of the social emotional books will support important themes about acknowledging feelings and teach coping strategies to deal with them.
There are also decodable books so that my students can strengthen their independent reading skills.
