My Students
My students amaze me every day with their love of learning. Each one of them strives on being the best that they can be, even with limited resources. Not only do they love to learn, but they also love to help others learn. We are constantly learning from one another. We are a classroom community where each person is valued and respected. My students have varying academic abilities, with most having low economic households.
I believe all students should have access and be exposed to Literacy- Rich Environments!
I am always looking for creative ways to engage them in wanting to learn. Each day, I work hard to create a positive learning environment for my students. This year, I have 11 second-/third-grade learners, who just need a little boost in literacy.
Every student who enters my classroom develops a great love of learning. They work hard all day and never cease to make me proud! I would love to be able to provide my students with Scholastic News magazines to ensure they are receiving literacy-rich print and become excited about learning again after being home for over a year.
My Project
While looking for ways to engage and motivate my students, I realized they need more exposure to print-rich resources. My Goal is to ensure that all my students have a lifelong love for reading and learning. Students will be able to explore a variety of informational topics in social studies, science, social emotional development and beyond that are relevant, and relatable to them! Exposure to these magazines will help to improve critical thinking skills, social skills, and problem-solving skills. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. We need your support! Thanks!
