This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Student artists need to explore media, tools, processes, and techniques in order to build skills, improve craftsmanship, generate ideas, and become comfortable with ambiguity when creating artwork.
I request your support in purchasing high-quality print-making paper for our student artists to print their drypoint etchings before the end of the year.
This will allow these student artists to explore the total print-making process from etching to the use of color in developing their prints.
High-quality tools and materials will enable my student artists to develop their craftsmanship. By helping stock our studio, you are allowing these student artists to explore artistic mediums and express themselves through the visual arts.
These student artists have experienced a lot in their short lives and the visual arts give them a chance to explore themselves, express themselves, and create what they want to see in the world. The materials you help us get make it possible for them to make meaning of themselves and their world.
