Help me give my students a new printer. Over the summer our 8 year old printer died and we need to have access to color printing, scanning, and copying for our Graphic Design class.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach high school art and the class in need is an advanced class. They are creating portfolios for evaluation of the IB program. Most of these students are remarkable and will qualify for college scholarships. Classes like mine allow them to get ahead in college by earning credit early.
My Project
At our school, I teach Graphic Design. We make online and actual portfolios for students to show to prospective colleges or jobs. The actual portfolios can’t happen right now because our printer broke. I have three design classes that use it for everything from printing business cards, invitations, travel brochures, to movie posters. While we explore the Principles of Design, we tackle real life design projects. Students post their digital files and then photographs of their mock ups and final printed projects. The printer is key to making mock up drafts, and then turning them into quality pieces.
