A few minutes ago a student asked for personal photos to be printed out to add to her portfolio for storage of her work. \r\n\r\nMy IB Visual Arts students really need access to printing for their Process Portfolios and research. They are evaluated and many are eligible for college credit. Many of last years students are off at college already and some have already messaged me thanking me for our classroom experiences. \r\n\r\nThere are so many little aspects that go into making a classroom run. The kids especially loved opening up the frogs' stomachs to see the frogs' 'last meals.' They spent a good amount of time in class editing TikToks of them dissecting the frogs. A few even said the activity got them thinking about careers in medicine or science.\r\n\r\nWhat's more, there was an extra benefit. We had leftover frogs post-dissection (even accounting for the extra dissection I let students do), and I was able to give them to a special education class down the hall. They were thrilled!
