Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse population of students ranging from honors to special education learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I school which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances. I teach seventh grade to two different mathematics classes every year with thirty students. My students are located mostly in the Elmhurst and Corona area of Queens which has been hit very hard by this pandemic.

This printer will allow my students to be able to have the ability to print important documents to help my students understand mathematics better and decorate the classroom by printing their work. My students ask me to print their lab reports, English reports, and social studies essays for them since they do not have a printer at home. I also want to be able to print out handouts and graphic organizers for them to help them understand math topics like equations and inequalities better. This printer will help my students be able to be community leaders by allowing them to show leadership skills through advocating for themselves.
