My Students

Our school is a vibrant and diverse elementary school in the heart of Brooklyn. While the student body of nearby schools largely reflects the gentrification in pockets of the neighborhood, Our school accurately reflects the ethnic and socio-economic landscape of this Brooklyn community. That diversity is integrated into every aspect of our school's educational experience, and into our classroom.

Our classroom is a truly amazing place.

As an integrated setting, our room is filled with students at every step of the educational spectrum, with a variety of special skills, needs and interests. We work to meet each student where they are and to support and challenge each of them throughout the year.

Our school and our classroom is something to be proud of, to celebrate and to support.

My Project

So often, NYC Public school classrooms have to do more with less. Parents and teachers know that if we want to have great things in our classrooms, the reality is that we often will have to buy it ourselves.

Whether it is printing homework, writing paper, photos of student work or individualized projects and activities, a classroom without a (color) printer is certainly at a disadvantage, and so are it's students!

We want to give our students access to all the fabulous things there are out there, and often that means copying, printing and scanning them. Without a classroom printer, this is next to impossible.
