My Students

I teach Middle School Science to a total of 250 students. Most of these students come from homes where their parents do not speak English. They are diverse in their home language, race, socio-economic level and special needs. They want to succeed but sometimes do not have the resources to accomplish their goals. My students have a lot of creativity, imagination and have the potential to achieve in the future. With the importance of STEM education, students need more opportunities to interact in various projects.

My Project

Students learn concepts and ideas through inquiry and self-discovery. My students need a printer to create projects to share what they discovered. Students will make digital posters and print them to put them up for display. I have found that most students do not have a printer to print their assignments.

Students need the resources in order to find success.

A lot of times, students do not have the resources to complete some assignments and sometimes it prevents them to doing their very best. By giving students all the resources to complete the assignments, students will feel more confident and would like to strive to do their very best.
