Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with students that have special needs; they require additional supports/accommodations in order to achieve academically. My students are funny, creative, animated, and kind. I feel fortunate to work with these kiddos that are also resilient and compassionate!
My scholars demonstrate improvement when they are allowed to practice what they are learning, (with applicable accommodation), in a comfortable and supportive setting.
In addition, they are learning to use taught strategies, class materials, and actionable teacher feedback to make gains in all academic subjects and to develop a growth mindset.
My Project
My students do some amazing work when learning about money! Because of this, I would like to give them the opportunity to print their work immediately after they complete it. This is just another way I can support and encourage their abilities. Thus, they will feel proud and competent due to their hard work.
Further, having a printer readily available in the classroom will provide more options during class activities; it will allow my students to customize their learning by printing out information specific to their project.
For example, printing out a price list from a market, images, and/or math certificates they have earned, will enrich their learning experiences.
