My Students

In my ELA classroom, I want to inspire my 5th graders to love reading a variety of different genres. They love reading and discussing high-quality literature. Some of their current favorites are Shiloh, The Mighty Miss Malone, and Fish In a Tree.

I teach a diverse group of learners who have many different needs that must be met in order for them to be successful in the classroom.

My 5th graders are enthusiastic learners who love our small group and one-on-one time and are preparing for the challenges that will face them next year in middle school.

My Project

Budgets are tight in our district, just like everywhere. We do not have the money to replace classroom printers and our copying capabilities will be limited this year.

A high yield color printer is a must-have for our classroom.

This printer will enable me to provide differentiated lessons and activities for my diverse learners. I will be able to find and print resources and activities on the fly rather than waiting potentially weeks to have copies made. My students will also be able to print their projects in color, something we have not been able to do at school until now. Finally, we will be able to quickly provide professional newsletters to our parents to communicate what is going on in our classroom.
