My Project

We to improve the educational experience for the multilingual students at Atlantic Middle School with a color printer.

In our vibrant classrooms, where students hail from seventeen different countries, speak even more languages and share a broad spectrum of talents and abilities, we can only print in monochrome.

Without a color printer, our ESL team often relies on computer screens. But each time our students open their Chromebooks, they also open the doors to a world of distractions.

As Paul Simon says, “Everything looks worse in black and white,” including educational materials. Traditional printers are expensive to maintain, impacting our ability to provide high-quality visual aids that are essential for our students’ comprehension and engagement.

We believe that an EPSON EcoTank printer will be a stroke of genius for our English Language program. With its refillable ink system, it offers an affordable and sustainable solution that maximizes resources for student benefit.

Your donation will provide:

1. Vivid learning with visual aids enabling us to create colorful, impactful materials that enhance language comprehension.

2. Fine motor skills development through hands-on, tactile activities to improve fine motor skills and penmanship in a Post-COVID learning environment.

3. A cultural mosaic of design and print projects that foster a sense of belonging and pride on the walls of our classrooms with the hues of our students’ heritages.

4. Resource accessibility by enabling us to create resource cards to support our beginner students in their content classroom through clearer more meaningful images of the academic terms they encounter daily.
