Our students come from several different backgrounds. They range from deaf and hard of hearing to ESL students to Special Needs students (Autistic, Emotional Support, and Learning Support), to Honors and AP students.
The group I am focusing on in this project is the LGBTQ+ community at our school, as this is an ever-growing population.
This year, we are re-starting an LGBTQ+ Alliance club, and we would like to offer incentives and purchase pride flags, stickers, etc. for the school.

This year, we are looking to re-start an LGBTQ+ Alliance Club. We are looking for incentives for the students, and pride flags for classrooms.
Every year, more and more of our students are coming out proudly, more of their fellow students and faculty/staff are accepting of who they are, and we want to show them that we have Pride in them!
I am happy to be one of those teachers, who students feel comfortable coming to. My room and office is a safe space for our LGBTQ+ students.
I hope that these incentives and the presence of the flags in classrooms will show our students, that it is okay for them to come out and be who they are, at least at school!
